I'm thinking about getting a SG for home defense. I'm an 870 fan, but my wife shoots skeet with a Mossberg. So I'm leaning toward the Mossberg because she is more familiar with the setup. I like the Jungle Gun, but the capacity is kind of low. Will any of the mag extensions out there work on it?

I don't know, but I noticed that Hans Vang does a 9200 with magazine extension. You might give him a call and see if it's the Jungle Gun.

I have a two shot extension for my 9200. Got it from Brownell's. They have two different models. One is made by Royal Ordinace and the other is made by Tact-star(I think).

Check out Choate's website. They have extensions that fit the Mossberg 5500 and, according to them, it will fit the 9200.
I bought a Jungle Gun with the same idea in mind. There is one hitch however: If you look at the magazine tube where you would place the extension it appears that the end piece is not removable. I called Mossberg to verify this and was asked rather rudely why I would want to do this. When I told them it was my gun to do with as I please I was blown off. Take a look for yourself and see if what I am saying is correct. I would like to add the extension without having to go through a lot of work. |

Hey guys, I got my mag extension on without any problems--- the only hitch is the keeper at the end of the tube must be pried out, no big deal as the factory spring will still work fine without it. I used a screwdriver to pop mine out. Took about a second.

tobeat1, do you have a 9200A1 Jungle Gun, or a regular 9200?
