FFL's in N. California / S.F. Bay Area
Does anyone know of a decent FFL in Northern California / San Francisco Bay Area who will let you transfer guns without charging an arm and a leg. Some of the dealers in this area charge over and above actual cost to bring a gun in because they find it hard to compete with internet and out of state retailers. Thanks a bunch!

Try these guys
"Old West Gun Room" in El Cerrito. They charge $50 if they aren't a dealer for the gun you are transferring ($100 bucks if it is something they sell as well).
"The Gun Exchange" down in San Jose. I think they are around $45 for the fees + sales tax. James Dean in Martinez has also been recommended to me. |

I believe that Western.......(drawing a blank!) on 4th street in San Rafael only charges $25.
It's way too early and I need more coffee. |

I've never heard of the Gun Exchange in San Jose. Can someone give me a hint as to where it's at?

Here's a link to the gun exchange. I have never been there so I don't know anything about them. |

Best deal I've found is Traders in San Leandro. $30 for private party transfer, $70 for FFL to FFL. Everyone else is reaching up to the $100 mark which forces you to buy locally. Recently, I used High Bridge in the outer Mission of San Francisco. Funky gun store located past Army where Valencia meets Mission. They charged me $35 for a private party.
Otherwise, we're screwed. |
