I want to order 45 LC bullets to load in my 454. Where is a good place online to order bullets? I want to work up a medium power deer load and need a good bullet. We tried XTPs last year and they flattened badly.

Try www.lazer-cast.com If I remember correctly they have a 250gr SWC that should do well for what you want(if you want a cast bullet). Otherwise, Midway (I can't recall the exact address) has a good selection to choose from.

It's www.laser-cast.com with a "s" not a "z".

And remember when ordering that these bullets come in two sizes, .452 and .454 diameter. These bullets do not like to be driven over 1300 FPS and don't use magnum primers. Some chemistry problem makes them lead badly.

If you want some serious hunting bullets, go to http://www.performancecastbullets.com/ or http://www.castperformance.com/Default.htm . They both make gas checked LBT design bullets that are excellent for hunting.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping for a 300 LSWC and a good partition bullet. The XTPs we used last year flattened badly and didn't give the penetration we needed. I like Golddots but they have a small selection of 45 LC bullets. I may go with Noslers but they are expensive to practice with.

REast I use http://www.midwayusa.com/home.html and have been satisfied with there service. They carry Nosler, Speer, and Swift bullets.

Hope this helps,
Garrett

Kinda funny that I thought I couldn't remember Midway's address correctly.
Thanks for the correction Robert! BTW, I checked out those links and liked what I saw there. You learn something new everyday!
