590A1 ghost sight adjustment
At the range a few days ago was patterning my 590 and it was shooting about 12" low and 15yards :barf: Not to sure how to adjust these sights. Played with the spinner under the peep hole but maxed it out and didnt notice a difference, was holding steady with top of beed(or w.e you call these) center with the peep hole. No flinch or anything so i know its the gun. Any input is appreciated.

Not being a smart-aleck, but did you try turning the adjustment wheel/knob in the opposite direction?

yea moving the peep up would make the shot go lower which i did not want, unless shooting 50 slugs in and hour had messed my thinking up as much as my shoulder that day I would think lower the rear would raise the sight so to speak for shot placement?

raise peep sight = raise point of impact at target.

Yep, raise the peep to to raise the POI. Mine shot a little low at first, as well.

Since these are all cylinder bore, are cheap rifled slugs what most people "plink" with?
Wondering what is the most desirable model of the 590a1 that comes with GRS, 9-shot capacity, and metal trigger guard etc? Have found these: 51668 (seems like the best option on the mossberg website) 50771 (found on GB, "talo edition" with ported barrel, bayonet, etc.) And whats the best way to put a light on one of these? |

It's simple: Move the rear sight in the direction you want to make your correction. Or, move the front sight in the opposite direction of your correction. dieseldirt You'll probably get better responses if you repost your question in a new thread. |
