Best scope at 1k
I am looking to replace my Nikon buck master 3-14 (came with my rifle) for a better optic. It will be on a Weatherby vanguard .270 win. I really like the vx3L 4-14x56 and the hd5 5-25x50 . If it were down to those two which would it be?

I would have to say the Leupold. However, I am biased to Leupold, but IMO they are great scopes and are hard to beat for the price! But, the Zeiss are good too. Both are very adequate scopes, so don't sweat it too much, they are both very solid scopes.

There is also the option of the Nightforce SHV for just under $900 http://www.opticsplanet.com/nightfor...iflescope.html
or this one for just over $1000 http://www.opticsplanet.com/nightfor...cope-30mm.html |

My vote now days goes to Vortex. Quality glass with an awesome warranty.
