Cabela's Pine Ridge Scopes

My dad has had great success with his Cabela's Pine Ridge scope for his .22-250. The turrets have been a lot of fun to dial in for long yardage shots.

So my brother went out and got a Pine Ridge for his 270 Winchester. The scope came with 270 130gr and 150gr turrets as well as 300 Win Mag turrets. He spun the reticles. He then returned the scope and got a replacement. He spun the reticles in the 2nd scope.

Is there a bad batch of these?

A guy at Cabella's told me that the Pine Ridge scopes are actually made by Simmons. FWIW. I was looking at their 4-12X40 tactical. Very attractive at $169.

I own 3 tactical scopes and the cheapest was $500. Now, I'm a bit concerned at the overall quality.

I would love to hear some feedback about them, too.

That alone would make me run away fast.

He's getting a shipping box from Cabela's and a credit at the store.

He is looking at Burris Fullfield II, Leupold VX-II, and Nikon.

I just bought a Burris Fullfield II 4.5X14 from BearBasin Outfitters. They have them on sale for $299.95. Stock # BUR200183

They don't have an online order system. You'll have to call them on the phone.

Cabela's wants $400 for the same scope! That's nuts. Hey, you can always use the credit at Cabelas for ammo!

My brother bought the Nikon Monarch 4X16 with the side focus and Nikon BDC reticule. The Burris I bought also has something similar in the reticule, but has a front parallax adjustment, and it was $130 cheaper, so I went that way.
