Anyone ever auger out a sizing die, my BH flat top .44 spec. was showing some lead so I measured bore and throat. bore=.429, throat=.432. Nearest sizing diameter available=.431. Thank you

get ya some good 600 paper & fashion a flapper , use oil go slow & even strokes . I opened a 357 to 359 & bullet comes out round , also have a 429 someone opened up to 431 .
My dies are for a Lyman sizer , what die do you have ???? Or shoot em as cast ???? If big enuff , lubed of course .

Cool, watsa flapper? My sizing die is a lyman and the sizer is a lyman 45.
I pan lube for a .45 Colt for my '73 winchester copy, and a .434 that goes thru a 3rd gen .44 spec. with loose throats and tight barrel. Anyway it's tedious and if I could stay away from that for the rest of my .44s i'd be a happy guy. |

A flapper is a dowel with a slot then slide down the strip of sand paper & wrap it around to the size ya need !
