buy hornady #7 for like $25.
I use my "standard" plinking/target load in my XD .45 compact model. Winchester 230 RN FMJ and 4.4 grains of Titegroup w/ CCI large pistol primers. Gets the job done.

starting out; tested 100,000,000 times.....

Sized case (I prefer IMI), CCI300, 230g LRN/FMJ/TCJ-RN (pick one; I prefer 230g LRN), OAL 1.240--1.265" (based on specific gun -- I use and suggest an OAL of 1.260" +/-.005" to start), crimp to .469--.471", 5.0g W231.

MY personal ain't-huntin'-nor-shootin'-people load: sized case, CCI300, 230g LRN, 5.0g W231, OAL 1.260".
Av = 737fps

230 gr is just rude! I am now switching to a 200 gr bullet and selling off all my 230 gr. bullets, some WW FMJ and about 1250 rds. of lead hard cast. Sad part is, I have cases of brand new ball, WW, UMC I'm considering unloading.
