Winchester QC or lack there of
Anybody else having problems with Winchester products?
I shot off an old box of Winchester handgun rounds about 2 years ago and 1 in 10 were duds or misfired. They were about 5 years old so I figured it was age though Federal rounds the same age didn't have a single misfire or dud. Shot off 3 boxes of Winchester .06 and got a dud in one of those boxes. Only factory round I've had not fire out of 1,000+ rounds I've put through it using a wide variety of brands. Even sometimes 40 yr old military surplus still not a dud in the several boxes of it I've fired. Out of the same batch of primers (me and my Dad went halfers on a box) he had a dud also. Newer box of Winchester handgun rounds, 2 duds in a box of 50. So far only misfire I've had with something I've loaded was you guessed it a Winchester primer. Could see the firing pin impression on it, but just went click. Put it back in and it fired the second time. I'm getting to where I don't trust anything made by Winchester at this point. |

You shouldn't store them under water.
Try giving them a call or an email, I have great success with their products. In fact I don't think I ever had any factory dud with any brand. |

Have you contacted Winchester?
They did right by me.
