Out of "22 bullets." Does that mean---I am out of 22 long rifle bullets OR I am out of 22 caliber bullets (like the kind you use to hand load the 22-250)??

Out of .224 cal bullets to reload 223. I reloaded all I had. Have plenty to shoot but need more to restock. I'm waiting on several items to come in stock.

i'm down to about 500 22 lr bullets and feeling the same way. a pawn shop a little north tried to sell me rounds by the hundred at 20 bucks. wal mart is out and has been for weeks. this sucks

They will shoot just fine.

As a matter of fact, I have a kit from Corbin on the way to do exactly that--make .224 bullets from .22 LR cases.

How much is that costing to get set up with the Corbin equipment? Can you manufacture different bullet styles or just one? Can you make different weight bullets as well? How much do you figure it will cost per thousand bullets?

I have a pretty good stock of bullets but I am going through quite a bit every year now, and it is not always easy to find the bullet I want when I want. Nobody makes a 68 gr SP. I find the 68-69 gr HPBT to shoot accurate with any popular powder, but then to shoot SP I have to buy a different weight such as 60, 63-65 gr SP and they use a totally different powder work up. Would one be able to make both a 68 gr HPBT and a 68 gr SPBT?

Finally does the brass jacket make it only practical for target shooting? Or will they perform for small-medium game in a SP? I am wondering if the brass jacket makes them perform as FMJ no matter if HP or SP?

Thanks guys for your ideas and experience on this.

I am still confused: are you looking for bullets (like .223 69 grains) or are you looking for cartridges in 22 LR???

Apparently the bullets are quite explosive on impact. I'm not sure, but perhaps they could be swagged case base up for a FMJ. Reports are that the bullets are quite accurate & shoot like out of box Sierras.

I'm not normally a conspiracy theorist, but when some states started this "Green-Bullet" BS, I figured it was more of an anti-gun initiative. I won't be able to shoot much if all my bullets cost like Barnes!

I'm not big on casting, but I have made sure I could cast all my pistol calibers & my .45-70 bullets. The very basic casting gear from Lee is cheap insurance. Now I'm looking into this swagging stuff. If you swage bullets you may want to cast your cores instead of buying lead wire to cut.

For devout handloaders, it looks like another dimension to the shooting hobby that would be great fun!

A gun is useless & not much fun if you can't shoot it. Too bad you can't make primers & powder! LOL

That's cool as could be Bug but $833 is out of my range. Not to mention I hardly see and 22 long rifle cases laying around.
