High hunting season here

Hi everyone
Pic of the Gemsbuck I recently relieved of his miserable life in the draught stricken Karoo with my ancient ww2 k98! (just a joke you greenies!!!) With this hunt I was hiding in a bush and the poor animal happened to walk into my sight.

Anyway you US hunters must come and hunt here in SA, it is a huge growing industry with many new hunting farms coming to age. The animal population is definitely growing by the year as many farmers introduce game to their farms for hunting.

Awesome. And if you get bored, come across to New Zealand for fine alpine hunting...

Outstanding! Good looking specimen - doesn't look like the drought affected his health much.

Takes a fairly high ceiling to hang one of those mounted heads! Maybe that's part of why the deer is so popular in the U.S.: You can hang a pretty good rack without making the room look out of proportion.

Nah, my Gemsbock looks tiny compared to my Moose, Caribou, and Buff mounts. Right now my Kudu is in a room with only a 12ft ceiling and looks just fine. It was no fun maneuvering him through the door, though. We had to get creative. Unfortunately my buff currently lives in the garage. The hurricane destroyed several of my mounts, but I still have more mounts than walls. I guess I need a bigger house.

I need to get back to Africa. It's been almost 20 years now...

You may see me at some point, Boertjie.

Boertjie- Springboks will win by 12 points, Boks will take the world cup in a final with Australia, NZ will beat france for third and fourth. I am not optomistic this year....
