I am considering getting such a purse for my daughter who has a CHL, and carries a S&W 640. Any ladies care to give me advice? I have wondered about the potential problem of a purse snatcher getting the purse and the gun.
Thanks, Jerry

If your daughter is going to college or is involved in sports, she might consider these one harness shoulder bags.
I've been trying to find a good one, there's a general one made by Jans Sport ($15 at the swap meet.
There is an ergonomically correct bag by American Tourister(?) only saw the picture, waiting for some to come in...made from leather and some kind of microfiber.
I've been checking it out because with the harness, it's comfortable and can more or less stay on your body, while acting like a big crossdraw holster, leaving your hands free.
My wife said that the one disadvantage with a purse is that it is often put down and is temporarily away from her body which could mean time lag to accessing her sidearm if TSHTF.
Good luck...keep us posted on your search and I'll do the same.

Thanks, I think the concern about laying the purse down is a valid one. In fact my daughter had her purse stolen at a fast food place a few years ago. As it turns out she isn't in college. She is 41. Makes me feel old. Jerry
