Montana Gold Bullet Inc. - How's their quality?

The subject line pretty much says it all. Found their site in American Handgunner, montanagoldbullet.com. Prices seem pretty good, prepaid to your door. Cheaper than Midway, who have been out of the last 3 bullets I tried to order. Called them and they have a 2000 piece minimum. 2000 - .45 230gr FMJ @ $150.00. They are the manufacturer. Thought I could get some info from TFL before ordering. Thanks and keep up the great postings.

I've shot all of the copper-plated bullets including Berry's, West Coast, and Rainiers.
But now prefer to shoot the Montana Golds.

But I love the MG FMJ or HP bullets. Their HPs look strikingly similar to the bullets used on Remington golden sabres.

Since I carry Golden Sabres, I've been reloading for the 45 ACP with 185 JHPs, 200 FPs, and 230 FMJs by MG and loved the accuracy of their bullets.

Their 185 JHP are my fav - accurate and light recoiling with a fast powder like W231 or TiteGroup!

Their 115 HPS are super accuate too if you shoot 9mm and use a slow burner like Universal.

Good company. Good service and the prices are just as low as with copper plated so why risk the plating falling off to save $2?

I just ordered and got 2K of 115 grain HPs!

I think I'm just a bit sluggish in the head today.

Are you saying the MG bullets are copper plated? Or you used to shoot the copper plated and moved to the MG jacketed.
I just ordered some Golden Saber slugs in 124gr to practice with in the new G26. Need to practice, practice, practice... before I decide to use them for carry.

MG are FMJ not copper plated and goto GlockTalk for some nice recipes for your
G26. I love my mini-Glocks!

I bought a case of 2000 230FMJ's last weekend ($148 delivered), and have loaded 300 of them. They appear uniform, and of good overall quality. I haven't shot any of them yet, but I have shot a couple hundred 155gr. .40's that were very satisfactory. Montana Gold bullets are very popular in my USPSA Section, so there are plenty of satisfied customers.

Montana Gold lists the overall diameter of their .45 bullets at .451. That is a thousandth less than the standard .452. What kind of .45acp are you guys shooting these things in?
