Has anyone shot or attended one of the big national CAS events such as End of Trail, Winter Range, etc? If so, please share any comments with the campfire.

Howdy,

My club, the Cherokee Cowboys, hosts the third largest CAS shoot, and largest east of the Big Muddy,Shootout at Mule Camp. Large shoots allow you to meet a lot of the folks you've heard about or met online, see lots of vendors in one spot, enjoy great meals and entertainment, and shoot every kind of cowboy gun you can bring. If you're the competitive type, large matches allow you to shoot against the best the sport has to offer. If you shoot just for fun and comraderie, then you'll have lots of like-minded folks to shoot along with. Featured guest at this year's Mule Camp is "The Virginian",James Drury. Theme for this year's match is "The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean",with some very cool props that we've been working on. Mule Camp this year, like every year,is over Memorial Day weekend,Thurs. through Sun.

An incredible amount of work and planning go into major shoots. We feel confident that this year's "Shootout at Mule Camp" will be the biggest and best yet. We already have over 360 registered shooters, and we will max out at about 420. Visit the Mule Camp HQ for full info.

Bellicose Bill
