What about rock polishing tumblers?

Twenty years ago my 14 year old son decided he wanted to polish rocks, so I bought him a rock tumbler. He lost interest in it pretty quickly, so I still have it somewhere in my garage storage room.

It is essentially a circular drum laying on its side, and rotated by a belt driven by a small electric motor.

Would it polish brass cases, I wonder?

Major, Yes sir. That is what my brother-in-law started out with. We tumbled several with it.
