Maxus cant shoot loads over 1250 fps??

Ive heard that the Maxus cant shoot loads over 1250 fps. I hear the piston will break. Is this true? If it is, it'll be Beretta for me

The story I read was: The guy said customer service told him the gun wouldn't take a constant diet of 3.5" shells running hotter than 1250 fps.

I shoot loads upwards of 1625 with no problems, more interweb BS

Over 10,000 rounds from 1125 to 1300fps lead loads and not one hiccup with my Sporting model. Close to that many thru my duck gun, both lead and steel up to the 1625, but mostly 1450fps and no issues. The duck gun has had the piston sealed and the spring removed now

I did a lot of research prior to buying my Maxus last year and this is the first time I have heard that. Can you post a link to the article?

Every shell I have put through my Maxus is going faster than 1250, lead and steel, and I have not had any failures to date.

Since when does anyone listen to customer service about technical details?

A classic case of hearsay -- don't bet the farm on it.
