Is anyone else getting slow connections? I mean slow like a teflon-coated snail crawling up a glacier at a 45-degree angle in a headwind.

Very slow this morning. Seems OK now.
FWIW, I was getting very slow download times on all sites this morning though, not just TFL. ------------------ RKBA! Yes we are getting slow connections, it took almost ten minutes while ago to open the page, so long I took my shower and got dressed and Gunslinger still setting here for it to open, no wonder we don't get no where on time. LOL

I was connected at the same time you posted. I've been getting sub-second response time. Often the problem can be isolated to a particular region (West, Mid-west, Mid-Atlantic, FL, etc.) where the latency can be very long when it is short in another region. You can look at the weather report in a few hours (unless you want to subscribe and get real time reports) to see if this was the case.

Hrmph. I can connect to my usual sites (userfriendly.org, civilliberty.about.com, &c) with no problems. Just TFL that's giving me fits, and the traceroute shows a number of hiccups in alternet. None between me and the firewall.

Yep. Trying to get to TFL from Florida is super slow -- some pages load only a quarter of the way and stop FOREVER. Not having a problem with other sites.

My computer is always slow I wouldn't know the difference. Besides it gives me time to wash a dish or two while loading. Happy happy joy joy.

Coin - the problem is obvious, your request spent way too much time in California and just sort of mellowed out until it got to Florida. But what I want to know is why did it spend some time at the NRA lobbyists desk at the Dept. of Agriculture?
