Ruger 10/22 & 77/22

I have a Ruger 77/22 that I'm looking to make some changes too. I've heard from an unreliable source that after market 10/22 barrels will fit 77/22's? Has anyone had any experiance with this? Also any info on where I could find a synthetic stock for the 77/22 would be great, tthough I'd don't think anyone makes them. Thanks!

I'm not sure about the barrel. I believe they are the same size barrel shank, but I'm not positive. However, Green Mountain offers fluted stainless steel match grade barrels specifically for the 77/22. Cabelas has laminated stocks for 77/22s, and MPI offers a fiberglass stock for 77/22s.

Look at Midway for barrels and stocks. They have a pretty good selection. I just looked.

The barrels are not interchangeable. IIRC, the shank lengths are different.
