Possible purchase. What would you do?
Hey guys, got a real dilemma on my hands. I've been trying to find a Winchester SXP Camp/Field Combo for a few months now with no luck. I found a lightly used one for $350 but its not local, so I would have to have it shipped to a local FFL.
The problem is, after all the fees and shipping, I'm looking at around $430. That's more than a new one costs, if you can find one. I saw some going for $420ish NIB on gunbroker at the beginning of February, but I didnt have the green light from the wife. I've also seen that stores are starting to charge around $400 for the standard SXP, which is about $70 more than they were before Christmas. So my question is, should I swallow my pride and pay more for a used shotgun? Or wait and hope I can find another one? |

How badly do you want it?

Bad enough that if it were local, I'd buy it in a second.
The only reason I'm questioning it it because it's not local. I've never bought a firearm over the internet or without holding it first. So I'm a little nervous about buying something without seeing it in person. Plus, I'm really worried about being taken for a ride and not getting anything for my money. Any advice? |
