Buying S&W M&P 340 CT - Suggestions?
I'm going to buy a new M&P 340 CT and thought I'd ask you guys if you have any pointers on what to look out for (possible defects, etc.) before plunking down the money for it.
Also, any thoughts on where to buy or what a good price would be? I'm in Houston, Texas, if that helps. Thanks! |

If it's new, I'd just check to make sure there aren't any major finish blemishes that might indicate a monkey messed with it. Dry fire it a couple of times around the cylinder and make sure the cylinder opens and closes easily. I have an M&P340 that I later added the CT grips to and I love it. I'm sure you will too. Those grips help with the felt recoil measurably.

Have you
gone to a range with rentals and tried the various J Frames in the pool?
The typically will not have a 340 or 360, but many do have the ti/sc series which are lighter than the 340. Stop back at the High Road 340 thread when you get it. |
