There are no records for where a US military weapon went, or who it was used by.
This kind of info was of no interest or use to the military. All they wanted to know is who was responsible for it at any given time Once the weapon was issued to someone else, the records were destroyed. As to where a weapon was shipped from the factory, Colt will have records of where a individual Colt was shipped, but in the case of a military Colt, all this will be is usually a anonymous warehouse or military receiving depot. The only info on where an individual weapon was is extremely limited info on some rare gun that is recorded for a special reason. There's a site on the 'net that has this but the records are VERY limited, no more than a very few. In other words, where a US weapon was shipped, used, or used by is unknown. Records simply don't exist. |
