Opening Day
It's been a little over a year but opening day of dove season is tomorrow at 12 noon. That's a State Holiday in my home county. Looks like we are going to have plenty of birds this year. I've got a couple of brothers, a nephew, and two sons coming for the big event. I've got shells loaded, guns plugged, and 100 of last years kill ready to go on the grill for the pre-hunt meal. Opening day is always a family fun filled time here. Now if I could just out shoot my little brother and my oldest son it would be a GRAND ole time.

state shoot
I helped out (mostly ate barbeque) at the state sponsered youth shoot here in my county N. of you. Cool and mostly overcast, about 30 participants, not much shooting or birds. Sandwiches were good.
