Remington stocks 11-48 and 58 Sportsman
I have a handful of 11-48's and 58 sportsmans, I want to convert my 20ga 58 to a "youth" model, I'm having zero luck finding a stock to cut down on the internet. Will stocks from any other Remington mate up with the 58 sportsman. If not the 58 what about a 20ga 11-48?
I just want to cut one down to fit the wife somewhat better. She likes my autos better or I'd just go out and buy a 870 youth... |

Maybe...
I think the 48 and 58 are interchangeable. I also believe the 870 and 1100 stocks are essentially the same. I would try to find a cheap 1100 stock. Both have spring assemblies in the stock and similar receiver profile. I think the biggest difference is in the barrel and carrier assemblies for the 48vs1100.

Since an 1100 stock has a spring in it, I do not believe (might be mistaken), that it will interchange with a 870 stock without making modifications
