I just bought a Luger w/ holster. Trying to find out what kind of holster it is. No Waffenamt stamps but a maker is stamped inside the flap and whoever had it penned his name in it. Not a repro. The flap retaining strap comes up rather than goes down. Also has a gizmo strap that you can pull and it extracts the gun. That internal strap is inside the holster but comes out through a slot in the outside. Can email a pic if it helps. The gun is the plastic grip "black widow" model. I think the holster may be police rather than army. Did the police have army guns? Any info appreciated.

The German police used Lugers for uniform carry post WWI through WWII. Can you give some info on the gun, especially any markings on the front strap where police markings were put. Also some more info on the holster.
