Ruger 22/45 question

Awhile back I read somthing about an accessory that can be added to the Ruger Mark II that fits between the barrel and trigger assembly in the frame to keep the powder residue out of the trigger area. Does anyone know if this would work in the 22/45 as well (or is there a similar part for the 22/45)? There was a note suggesting cutting a piece of soda can to put in there, but I would be very hesitant to do such a thing.

Thanks

Thanks Russ

I checked the site and it says says that their trigger guard only fits the Ruger Mark I or II. I'm going to email them and see if anything is available for the 22/45.
