What bullet maker do you like ?
What bullet maker do you like the best for .38 cal jacketed bullets? I am going to load some 357 mag and need some help picking the bullet. I hear that Speer is good but What about the other makers out there like
Sierra, Winchester, hornaday, should I just go with Speer or some other company? Thanks for listening to a new reloader |

If you're going "bulk" the winchester slugs are usually the best as far as cost VS. value. At least around here. Remington slugs are good as well, particularly their 180 hollow point if you want some that heavy.
For hunting I use the hornady XTP line. For my defense loads I use speer gold dots. (Some folks say handloads for personal defense is a no-no.) It's a personal call though.

I buy Zero bullets. They are the best value that I know of.

preferred vs stocked
I prefer all Hornady XTP-HP, Remington 110g / 125g / 180g conventional HP, Rainier plated .356" 151g TCJ-RN / .357" 158g TCJ-FP.
And lead. I have other choices, too..... To the new reloader, what is your goal; what work do you wish your bullet to perform?
