Remington 11-87

I bought a used 11-87 a week ago and after i shot it a few times i noticed that the bolt does not lock. anyone have a idea of what i need to do to fix this or is this normal for the 11-87. This is the frist 11-87 i have had.

What do you mean by the bolt doesn't lock -- have you closed the bolt on an empty chamber and then pushed on the bolt face with a long dowel, or cleaning rod, through the barrel? With the barrel removed, you can't test for proper locking because the barrel tang, where the bolt latches, is missing.
