I heard that too about Trailboss, also without a reason why not.
I load Berrys just like they were cast and so far they work pretty good. Today Im loading up some 148 grain HP's I got from http://www.mastercastbullets.com/ Im excited, they look fun! |

For the 38, I like Bullseye, Unique, and Trail Boss (which works just fine with plated bullets in my experience).
For the 357mag, Unique and Power Pistol make great "not quite full bore magnum" loads. Chris |

T. O'Heir, I note that you offered this statement:
"2.5 to 2.8 grains of Bullseye with a 148 grain WC has been the .38 Special target load for eons. Works just fine using a .357 case too." I'm a newbie at reloading and just want to see if I'm understanding this correctly. The only reloads related to this that I've loaded to date were some 110 grain JHP bullets. For those, I used 4.3 grains of Bullseye in the .38 cases, but increased the charge to 8.3 grains for .357. Are you saying that you could use 2.5 to 2.8 grains of Bullseye when loading either .38 or .357 rounds? (That is, both .38 and .357 would have the same powder charge?) Thanks! Yoosta B. Blue |
