Pietta SA clone, in .45LC
After all the wait.... it's here! It feels good and looks pretty good too. It does say "1873SA.45LC" on the left side of the barrel, and "read owners manual before use" on the right side in small letters right down along the ejection rod. And it does have a transfer bar.
But it looks like a fun shooter, and I do like Pietta! If I seem unreasonably happy about it right now.... it's because I've never had a .45LC and I've waited a long time for it and so... I am pretty unreasonably happy about it..... right now.

Love those .45's
Very satisfying when using it as a woods gun. Those big slugs really let you know where they are hitting.

Mike Beliveau posted a YouTube video featuring this gun as imported by Traditions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vox0S7ljUcQ
OK, so now you need to bring it to your local cowboy action match and ring some steel! |

Thanks guys! I might like to ring some steel, but I don't know of any local cowboy matches. In fact, I never shoot with anyone at all. I shoot at my own range and haven't shot with/against anyone in many years. I don't think there are many formal shooters in these parts. The only range that I know of, is in the National Forest where the hunters sight in their deer rifles once a year. The local state/city/county police have a range, but it is not public, ever.

Here's the Single Action Society list of affiliated clubs in your area.
There's one not too far away - the Russel County Regulators. http://www.sassnet.com/clubs/Clubs_l...te=Alabama#map
