when it is more appropriate in another forum, it will help, if a link(URL) to the new topic is put in as the last posting.

That's real tough to do, RTO. With the size of our files a single move ties the Mod up for several minutes.

The current procedure is to effect the move, close the topic and wait. To accomplish your goals, we need to do the abouve, find the new topic URL, reopen the closed topic, post the move location and close the old topic again.

This can be a real pain.

Yes, I can see the problem now.

It is just that I use to come back after a few days find the topic closed and a moved to ... and had to search through the new forum
I now have a 10 days view as the default. You guys are doing a great job, it is lot of work.
