Night Vision Goggles

What is a good brand of night vision goggles for a reasonable price ($500-$700)? I'd like to pick some up but don't want to spend several grand. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

That price range puts you in bargain basement NVGs. You can expect to have marginal performance for that price and only you can decide if you'll be happy with that. Personally, I wouldn't spend that kind of money on low end equipment. IOW, buy quality or wait. IMHO of course.

You won't be happy with gen 1 and $5-700 is too much money to waste. Save a little longer and get gen 2 at least.

My first NV was gen 2 plus and I wasn't happy with that. I had to turn right around and buy gen 3 and sell my gen 2 plus at a big loss.
