Recent Maryland hunt

This Maryland buck was obviously not taken with one of my leverguns. But the hunt was very exciting for me.
Details:
NOV 14 - date of hunt
3 X 4 whitetail
102 lbs field dressed weight
22 yards shot distance
HuntMaster crossbow by Ten Point
Easton XX75 bolt (arrow)
100 gr. Thunderbolt 3 edge broadhead
Tree Stand by Tree Lounge

Take note of my high tech camo shirt - it's the latest pattern!

Nice job, did you take him with a neck shot? It looks like it in the first pic, thats something I've just never seen. And as far as your high tech camo shirt, I enjoy looking at new camo patterns and getting new stuff for deer season, but camo and most other hunting supplies are for hunters, not deer. My dad and his old hunting buddy Mike took more deer in jeans and flannel shirts than I ever will in 10 lifetimes!

Yes, I took this buck with a neck shot. I can hit a dixie cup at 25 yards with this Ten Point crossbow. A double lung shot was impossible because of the angle; I was up 25 feet above the buck.

Camo is greatly exaggerated these days, more like a fad. People forget that USA Army & Marines fought WW2, Korea, and Viet Nam with olive drab cotton uniforms. OD green as it is commonly called looks same as mossy oak from 100 yards away. The German Army nearly conquered all of Europe with grey uniforms and bolt action Mauser rifles that held 5 cartridges. Do not mis-understand me. I'm not against camo. I simply don't find it all that helpful.
