Questions on the Romanian TTC

My girlfriend just bought me a Romanian TTC. The first problem i noticed was that the magazine (when empty) has to be worked worked free from the mag-well. Is this a common issue or should i look for replacement magazines? Also, is there anything else i need to be aware of before i take it to the range to try it out?

This is kind of embarrassing but i'm not familiar with Russian designed handguns.

Can't speak specifically to that model, but I've had guns with a tight magazines you have to pry out, and others that fall out sometimes while shooting . As long as it feeds ok, and doesn't have any massive wear patterns on the mag (indicating damage or unusual wear), it should be good to go.
