Concealed Carry Wisconsin

Hello,

I'm Illinois resident with valid CCL - can I open carry in Wisconsin state ? Or it's the same as Illinois concealed carry ? I'm little bit confused, I don't want to be arrested by Wisconsin troopers if I concealed carry instead of open carry if that apply, please share any info if you could, I think lots of people have same dilemma out here...

I haven't found one simple explanation of this law.
Thank you,

Handgunlaw is the most scrupulously up-to-date site regarding concealed and open carry in the 50 states.

It looks like your Illinois permit is honored in Wisconsin.

DISCLAIMER:
Verify law and reciprocity in the state to which you are going through their Attorney General's Office.

While many states recognize permits to carry issued in other states, the law regarding carry is the law of the state in which you are in, not the state that issued your permit, therefore you must familiarize yourself with the laws of any state to which you intend to go regarding carry, even if they honor your permit. Their laws regarding carry and use of force may be very different than your state's.

Yes. No permit needed to open carry in Wisconsin, that lovely place near that other place where all the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all the children are above average.

Read my post again, Steve. Now look at a map made after 1858 and tell me Wisconsin is NOT near Minnesota.
