Let's try out my Rodney Dangerfield voice
I don't have any trouble with my Loadmaster.
I've worked with other progressives and now the Loadmaster, and I don't trust any progressive to prime. I did for awhile use the case inserter, but don't now. I insert sized, primed cases, look at EVERY powder charge for too much or too little powder, insert bullets by hand, seat without crimping, and finish with the factory crimp die. Concentrate on the handle going all the way down, then all the way up. I use the lamp chain on the powder measure. I stay away from hard to measure powders. I make long runs of one caliber at a time. I load .38, 9mm and .45 acp. I may load .44 Special in the future. I shoot mostly cast bullets, and I use a Dillon seater die so I can disassemble the Seater to clean out accumulated lube without losing adjustment. There are a bunch of YouTube videos on setting up a Loadmaster. In thousands of rounds loaded, the only problem ever was it threw a light charge of Bullseye once, which I caught. |

NuJudge,
Thanks for the reply, ya I think most progressives have primer feeding problems. I would not prime with the Loadmaster, I have the Lee Classic cast turret for sizing and priming and it works great. I just want to cut down on the lever pulls, so on the loadmaster I would charge the case, seat bullet and crimp. Floydster |

I've had mine now for about eight months. I've had NO primer feed issues with it. I also use the case feeder (with collator) I had to clean out some tumbling media that got trapped in the case slider (was causing jerky action). I guess I've loaded about 5000 rounds on it. Actually the priming system on my LM works much better than the Dillon 550 I used to own. I think it's all in the set-up. I studied all the videos on youtube before I ordered one. I've been very pleased with it. It does take a bit more set-up and attention to detail as compared to the other brands.

The Biggest problem I have noted with the case feeder on the LoadMaster is flashings left from the molding process. If you take it apart and make sure the trough, top and bottom parts, are as smooth as a baby's bottom it will work well. Some folks use some sort of a dry wax. Be sure to keep it full as you will use up primers at an alarming rate. I reload mine as soon as the last primer gets into the trough.
