Help with 338 mag

I hope I make my question clear.

I started reloading 225 g nosler accubond boattails. With 73g of H4831sc the case should be 96% full. I seated my first bullet to a COL of 3.340.

Shaking the finished bullet like I always do I didn't hear the rattle of powder.
Sounds like a compressed load I guess.

I measured the bullet and it has a bullet length of 1.45". Doing a visual comparison it seems like its way too long.

In the past I've reloaded 200g Hornady non boattail, with a bullet length of 1.20. From the cantilure to the base of the bullet it's about .36. The nosler from where it's seated to the base is about .6.

What gives?
