Lawyer Guns
Why are they called lawyer guns? It seems they are more suited for the prosecuting attorney or DA, to make you pay for your foolery.

The excessive, unneeded "safety devices" are there because of lawyers, rather than any practical need. Compare a Ruger Mk3 to a Mk2. The mag disconnect, lntegrated lock an loaded chamber indicator are of little actual use to most shooters. The mag disconnect actually makes the gun worse IMHO. Take-down is a pain, and the trigger isn't as good.

I thought "lawyer gun" always referred to the "WARNING......" garbage that is engraved all over the some gunslides.

I always thought it refereed to guns that had excessive trigger pull weights, excessive safeties and the like.
All, in theory, to lessen the chance of an accidental discharge and an impending lawsuit. Ive heard it refereed to on Winchester lever actions and Bushmaster AR's (both of mine have 7-8lb factory triggers)
