What is a good weight bullet for a 1-9 twist barrel? I was told 62 gr sp's were good, is this true? Any advice would be appreciated.

Anything from 50-68grains will perform well. You could try the 40gr bullets, but at high speed, they may blow their jackets off. Blunt or roundnose 70 grain bullets may also stabilize.

Why not shoot the M855 ammo that the Military uses? Thats what I shoot out of my Mini 14. You can get the bullets from www.wideners.com They are Israeli Military SS109 62gr Steel Core bullets. Very accurate !!!!!!
