I am developing a load for plicking and practice using W748, once-fired WW brass, WSR primers and 55gr. FMJBT bullets. I'm using Winchester Data that shows 26.2gr. max. My firearm is an MT6530, 16"bbl. 1-7 twist. I would like to know what the starting load should be, in your experience, to insure proper function. So I don't load 20 or more rounds of test loads starting at 10% below max, that don't function it. Thanks, Sgt.K |

i have a bushmaster with 14.5 barrel and i've loaded 55 grainer using H335, W748 and varget. I settled for 25.5 of W748 because of less muzzle flash, cooler barrel and more possitive action cycling.

Thanks for the info j-man.
I've loaded up some test rounds, starting at 25.0 grs going up to 26.1 in .2 increments. Hopefully I'll get out to the range within the next day or two. Thanks again, Sgt.K |
