mexican mauser conversion?

I own a mexican mauser in 7X57 with a very poor barrel and a .308 blank which I want to modify and build a .300 WSM will the action hold? or should I ream the blank to .308 win?

looks like the .300 wsm has the same twist?
if factible where can I get the reamers?

Pepemarine, the only Mexican Mausers I can think of are all large ring 98 intermediate actions. Assuming everything else being equal; the action isn't soft, no lug set back etc. I see no reason why it wouldn't handle the short magnum. You can buy the reamer from Clymer or Brownells or rent it from Shawnie rentals at www.reamerrentals.com. George
