Shotgun length reqs
If one were to take an 18" barrel riot shotgun in 12 gauge, with a pistol grip, would it fulfill the OA length reqs to avoid being a short barrelled shotgun? If so, can you install an aftermarket pistol grip on an 18" riot gun with a full stock?

Min 18" barrel.
Min 26" Overall length. As to your question, most pump and auto shotguns will meet the mininum overall length with just the barrel and receiver so putting a pistol grip on it should make it long enough. The problem comes in with single/double barrels. I know a fellow who inherited an 18" barrel pistol gripped NEF 12 Ga. First thing he did was buy a full length stock to make it legal again.
