Franchi Model 612 Defense
Saw this shotgun pictured in Franchi's 2002 catalog. Never heard of it before, but it's an autoloader with an 18.5 inch barrel and 5+1 capacity (has optional two-shot mag extension). MSRP is given as $635. Anyone have any experience with this one?

I have a 612 synthetic with 24'' barrel and internal chokes. The shotgun is good, the felt recoil is moderate and it can shoot all types of loads. Including the light ones used for sporting clays. It feels right for me.
The manual of arms, like most Italian autoloaders, is a little bit different. If you do a search you will find what Oleg Volk has written about it. The bottom line is that you get used to it. Hope this helps, Stay Safe |
