dixie black powder?

I joined to here to find some info about this gun ive got.

I think its a replica or reproduction. It says Dixie Works on it, and claims its a .38 cal. I know nothing about black powder though. There arent any serial numbers or anything, and Dixie's website doesnt have any information. How can I find out more? Can you guys tell me something?

thank you!!

It's from Dixie Gun Works in Tennessee who have been in the reproduction business forever. It looks like a Whitney repro from Italy or possibly an earlier one from spain, cant tell without seeing the proof marks closer.

there are markings saying made in italy on the barrel, and some sort of overlapping diamond symbol and SN on the cylinder.

What might you say this gun is worth?
