Why is the IMAGE tage not permitted in the signature block? If I understand how HTML works, the image does not actually get downloaded to TFL -- only a link to it; so, it doesn't take up any additional storage space and it would personalize things a little bit more with either a photo or some friendly graphics.

FUD, the IMG tag actually downloads the target file from its location to the local machine. IOW, the file still resides on the initial server, then it's copied to the destination server (in this case, TFL), then copied again to your machine and stored in your browser's cache.
