Scope mounting on a Supermatic

I have purchased an extra barrel for my Supermatic. Its an older model and will require having the barrel drilled and tapped for a scope mount. Any suggestions on the type of mount and scope I should look for. Yes, I will be having the drilling and tapping done my a gunsmith. I will be using the pistol in matches and as I understand it the scopes used in the league cannot magnify, folks use red dots to help old eyes.

IF you have a bull barrel, Brownell's carry a Weaver-style mount that requires the barrel to be drilled and tapped.
This is a cantilever mount that attach's to the barrel, and positions the sight over the grip.

High-Standard Mount #530-500-001 $30.00.

I strongly recommend calling Brownell's and talking to their tech department for a recommendation on a mounting system.

Brownell's carry about everything available, or know who does, and they are experts on this.

You'll get better info on what's available from them than over the internet.

Thanks I will give them a call.
Just want to educate myself a little before I go to a gunsmith to have the work done.

Gil Hebard sells pistol scope mounts and scopes, too. I have a Burris 1X with Hebard dot on my High Standard. No batteries to run down.

Found a solution this past summer. Used a pair of tactical flashlight mounts that I found on ebay, and was able to mount an Adco scope right to the barrel. No drilling no tapping. Improved my average by 25 points in the matches so far this year.
