Explosion at Accurate Energetic Systems Plant

http://www.tennessean.com/story/news...ctory/7794969/
Which apparently is the parent company of Accurate Powders.

Does anyone have more complete information as to what actually happened, and which functional part of the plant was destroyed?

I always thought Rio was from Latin America.

My guess is all of it is indefinitely shut down fir a production facility that has 12 people. Must be small.

It was on the local news (Nashville) last night but there wasn't anything in the news broadcast that wasn't in paper.

Don't apply for a job at a Plant which has a sign bragging : "Ten working days since last fatal accident!"

Redstone Arsenal has a rocket propellant demilling plant and a couple of guys were killed there in 2010. Rocket propellant is nitrocellulose with special herbs and spices; similar to the stuff we use as gunpowder.

People just don't appreciate just how dangerous gunpowder is, in all its various forms.

So is early movie film. That's why there has been a long term effort to remake movies to a more stable film !
