Jacketing Bullets?

Can you jacket your own bullets? What equipment do I need, how hard is it, and how much more expensive is it? Just to make sure, jacketing is what manufacturers do to large caliber bullets so the lead isn't exposed right?

Sort of but, for large and small calibers and lead can be exposed at the nose or base of the bullet. It is actually done so that the bullet can be driven to a much higher velocity.
