45 Super vs 45 ACP

Howdy folks. I am a new guy.
I have a Springfield V16 long Slide .45 Super that I love to make noise with. In order to keep the Super ammo separated from ACPs, I have marked the base of the Super rounds with a Sharpie. I thought the mark would be easy to see and it is. The problem is that the markings have now been shot off a little and have spread throughout the pistol. SHUCKS - a big mess that will take time to clean up.

The purpose for this note is to warn you not to do this and also see if anyone has a better idea for easy ID of these super hot rounds that look exactly like standard ACP. I know the head stamp IDs the round but a careless mistake could be a real problem.

Any ideas.

How much marker ink did you use?
I mark brass bases, an X across the primer, all the time and never have run into this problem.
Some of it was for high pressure rounds, like .38 super and hot 9mm and 44 mag.
Maybe you put it on too thick?
Or on the sides of the cases?

I load some warm rounds for the .45 Super, it's a very nice cartridge. I understand about the issue of not wanting to get them mixed up, but just keep them separated. I use a sharpie to mark certain loads and I've never had an issue with it coming off before being used, afterwards it doesn't much matter.

The original .45 Super brass used small primers, which, at the time, made it pretty easy to tell ACP from Super. Now, primer size wouldn't be of much use.
I think my Super brass is plated, and if yours is the same, then don't load any ACP in plated cases; plated = Super?
