Loved my CW45.....
.....but hated the trigger. Why does nobody offer a tuppy with 1911 controls and trigger?

If you are saying you want a small carry piece with 1911 controls and trigger, of course there are many out there. Just not with polymer frame. Not sure why that's important to you, although I guess you are concerned about cost.
There are compact polymer guns that can be carried cocked-and-locked. CZ P07 duty, for example. |

for a CCW, with no safety, i like the trigger on the CW45 just the way it is. its lite enough for a slow steady squeeze with lite her off right where i asked it to.

I also have been wondering why no one has come out with a true single action striker fired gun.

I fired a ppq and while the trigger is miles ahead of glocks and the like it still feels like you're bringing the striker back some with the pull of the trigger.

Trying to avoid striker as well. Poly framed CCO 1911, why not?

Well rock river does kinda??? Still a lard butt 1911 but poly lower. Guess you did not spend enough time shooting only the kahr to get use to the trigger. For those of use that shoot DA/SA revolvers it feels justlike a highly tuned da revolver trigger.
I allways found it odd people buy the kahrs knowing the trigger type going in and then deside they hate it. I"ll shoot any trigger if its smooth . Kahrs are smoooth. Last edited by kahrguy; April 22, 2013 at 10:42 AM. |

Weight was a big deal for me, too.
That's when I switched from a full size 1911 Springfield to the Kahr CW45. I really wanted one of the more upscale compacts, but I've been set up to cast 45 bullets., and polygonal barrels won't work with lead bullets. Turns out the little Kahr is a helluva gun for the money spent. Mine's a keeper. |
