Where are they made?
I was shopping for a 308 a while ago and I was thinking about a Browning until I found that they were no longer made in the USA. They used to be, right? It got me to thinking.......
I switched to an M1A from Spingfield instead. Anyway, I have learned that there are several good old "American" firearms that are no longer built in the states. I would like to know if the experts here might be able to clear this up for me. Specifically, where are the following Shotguns made? Remington 870 Winchester Defender 1300 Ithaca 37 Mossberg 500 Mossberg 590 Thanks, Mike

The Maverick is made in Mexico---but I don't think the regular Mossberg is. But I could be wrong.

I don't profess to be a Browning Expert but I think that:
A-bolts and A-bolt II were made in Japan. Hi-power rifles were made by FN in Belgium. Shotguns, Hi-power pistols and civilian BARs were made by FN in Belgium and then later made in Belgium assembled in Portugal. Correct me if I am wrong! |

Don't forget the Japan made Browning shotguns.
I don't think Browning brand guns have been made in the U.S. for a century or so. But they are always good. Some Mossys made by Howa in Japan. Some Winchesters made in Japan. Sam |
